Insider  Advice

In advance of meshmarketing
Register in advance. History has shown that we sell out at mesh events. We anticipate that the same is true for meshmarketing this year.
Plan to stay for socials. The networking is a big part of the experience. We will be announcing shortly. Best bet is to save the dates for the evenings of Nov 14 & 15.
Keep visiting this site. We’ll be adding info right up to the event. Follow @meshconference on twitter or the stream at #mm11 Subscribe to our RSS feed and get email updates via Feedblitz  or feedburner to stay up-to-date.

During meshmarketing
Be sure to pack your laptop, camera, audio recorder and/or camcorder. We’ll have WIFI at the conference. Don’t forget your power adapters because we’ll have charging stations. You can record, photograph and film to your heart’s content. But it’s up to you to get the permission of anyone you you want to photograph, record or film. Unfortunately, everything that happens in Toronto does not stay in Toronto.
Bring your business cards and prepare to meet lots of fantastic people. This event offers lots of great content in the session rooms. However, outside the session rooms, you can connect with really talented folks, you’ll share ideas and you’ll get inspired.
Be prepared to talk. This event is as much about your thoughts and ideas as it is about what is said from the stage. We really want to hear from you.
If we’ve missed something that you need to know or think that we should add, contact us at info [at] meshconference [dot] com. On Twitter, we’re @meshconference and @meshcon.

Speaker Pitches

mesh does not accept speaker proposals.

The same is true for meshmarketing. This isn’t your typical pitch-us-a-speaker type of event (sorry).

We look for people we would like to hear from – and think you would like to hear from – and then we invite them to participate.

Volunteer @ meshmarketing

Since mesh and meshmarketing started, we’ve made it our mandate to provide students with the first opportunity to volunteer so that you can get experience and build your network. Perhaps you’re studying event management, and would really like to see theory in action. Maybe you’re in marketing, and would like to learn more about digital marketing. Or you’re studying technology and really interested in networking with like-minded people. That’s great, and we can find a place for you on our volunteer team.

In exchange, you will get to attend the rest of meshmarketing with the other attendees.

How it works
You are given a minimum 4-hour shift over the course of the event.
You may be working at registration, helping presenters or setting up and tearing down.

Every task that you do helps this event run better.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Our mesh team

Danielle, our Event Assistant, oversees the volunteer component for our events. She masterfully manages the volunteer schedule, and would be your key point of contact. Please email Danielle to discuss opportunities. She would be happy to hear from you.

Seth is our web designer, so basically, he’s the one who never sleeps. If it works great, it’s because of his genius. If it isn’t working quite right, chances are we’ve messed up his design in our tinkering. Not to worry…he’ll fix it shortly.Seth is also the founder of Think Thirty Three Inc.
